Meet Jason

Jason Roberts has spent 30+ years in fire and EMS, and he still works as a firefighter and paramedic on an engine company today. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (MA, LPC) in Colorado, has counseled first responders since 2019, and leads Valor Counseling and Holistic Services, LLC. He knows the job from the inside, and he built Before the Call™ to give responders the tools he wishes he had early in his career.

Clinical training includes EMDR, ASIST suicide intervention, Brief CBT for Suicidal Ideation, grief treatment and posttraumatic growth, Psychological First Aid, and certified in peer support for first responders. He is also an ordained pastor and a Certified Christian Counselor.
